Over 30% of Vietnamese businesses reported network security problems, while around 30% admitted they didn’t feel safe with their current network systems.

Visa also said, at the national seminar on information security in Hanoi last week, that 20% of businesses couldn’t identify a motivation behind the cyber attacks.

As of February this year, Vietnam had 27 million Internet users, or 32% of the population. There were nearly 192,000 websites using the .vn domain and many businesses had adopted an online payment system into their business.
