On May 15, Mr.Ho Van Nien, Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee had a meeting with Long Mai Global Trade JS company (LOMA) about preparation for the first international seaport festival 2012. At the meeting, leaders of LOMA compnay proposed to provincial leaders to host the festival from November 10th to 12th in Vung Tau city and Ba Ria town. The compnay will hold many activities during the festival, including: a carnival, an amateur golf tournament for “be loved Truong Sa” fund, an exhibition on ports, shipping companies, international and Vietnam logistics, exhibition of maritime services, international forum and convention on developing investment, construction, the food garden themed “Gift of the sea”, art performance named “Garden of light” and Lana Dinner…. After listening ideas from the leader of LOMA, Mr.Tran Minh Sanh offered the company to hold the food garden, exhibition fair and the main stage at Back Beach (Bai Sau,Vung Tau city) for attracting more local people and tourists to join the festival but also ensure the scale, formal and social security of the events.
