Evening of 23 September, at the Tourism Market (Vung Tau City), the Vietnam - Korea Culture Week with the theme "Vietnam - Korea - 20 years of friendship and development" ended after 7 days (from 15 to 23 September) with many cultural and sportive activities, friendly exchanges, commercial promotion and cooperation. Attended at the closing ceremony were Mr. Tran Minh Sanh - Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of BR-VT People’s Committee; Mr. Ho Van Nien - Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Lee Chung Keun - Chairman of the Korean Association in Ho Chi Minh City; representative of departments, branches and localities of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and Korea with numerous local people and visitors.

This year, Vietnam and Korea celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties (22-12-1992 - 22-12-2012). In response to this event, a Vietnam – Korea Culture Week was taken place in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province with many exciting activities such as: friendly football match, Taekwondo competition, photo exhibition, film festival, cuisine exchanges, meeting among Vietnamese – Korean firms, Korean - Vietnamese cultural exchanges... Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Tran Minh Sanh stressed that the Vietnam – Korea Culture Week held in Ba Ria - Vung Tau was a significant event in the context of friendly relationship and cooperation between the two countries had been developing well in all sectors. The organization and multiple activities within the framework of the Vietnam – Korea Culture Week, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province desired to send Korean friends the message: "Vietnam and Korea have a really close, trusting relation. This is the right time for the two countries to jointly promote multifaceted cooperation, mutual benefits in the spirit of friendship and mutual understanding, to promote strategic partnerships for the benefit of people of the two countries, for peace and prosperity in Asia". Mr. Tran Minh Sanh also praised and appreciated the cooperation, participation of departments, agencies, enterprises in the province, the media agencies that had positive coordination and contribution to the success of the Vietnam – Korea Culture Week 2012 in Ba Ria - Vung Tau. In the duration of the ceremony, the harmony and cohesion of the two cultures of Vietnam - Korea were more and more close, intimate. The success of this event marked a new step in the partnership between the two countries in general and between Ba Ria - Vung Tau province with Korea in particular. Particularly, arts and music had contributed to emotional connection of the two nations. The joy by the deep feelings between the two countries Vietnam - Korea was fallen in line with the attached emotion of the farewell day. After the closing ceremony, the stage of the program opened with the repertoire of songs and dance of Vietnam and Korean cultures performed by artists: Dan Truong, Anh Bang, My Tam, the song and dance ensemble of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province and artist groups from Korea.
