On May 28th, 2013, the Provincial Department of Science & Technology of Ba Ria – Vung Tau held Science Council to approve the subject “Building DATABASE of naval meteorology to serve economics – society – defense security in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province” headed by Ma. Pham Xuan Truong (Ba Ria-Vung Tau Center for Hydrometeorology”.

Ba Ria – Vung Tau is a coastal province, so affected heavily by climate change. The subject to build database on climate change of the province, the map to classify region, factors of Hydrometeorology, Naval Meteorology of the Province. By then, evaluating trend, degree of climate change impacts and offering measures near the reality to cope with, contributing to develop economics – society – defense security stably in conformity with conditions of hydrometeorology, naval meteorology in the background of climate change nowadays.
