On October 26th, in Vung Tau City, rep. office of Intellectual Property Department in Hochiminh city in combination with Department of Science & Technology and Vietnam Enterprise Science Union held a seminar “Improve role of enterprises and associations in Anti-counterfeit, frog problems”. 

On October 26th, in Vung Tau City, rep. office of Intellectual Property Department in Hochiminh city in combination with Department of Science & Technology and Vietnam Enterprise Science Union held a seminar “Improve role of enterprises and associations in Anti-counterfeit, frog problems”.     

The seminar is to respond to Vietnam anti-counterfeit, frog date November 29th and supply enterprises, associations with knowledge and skills to protect legitimate rights and benefits. 

Approximately 100 invited guests are representatives of competent authorities, departments of science & technology Dong Nai, Dong Thap, S&M Enterprise Association, co-operative alliance, infrastructure economic department of districts, city, consumer protection association, enterprises in the BRVT, hochiminh city etc.    

Main content of the seminar is about anti-counterfeit, frog problem, legal sides, status – reason – solution to anti-counterfeit, frog problem in the BR-VT and role of the association. Besides, useful opinions and ideas of representative ideas in Hochiminh City and VungTau City such as BUSADCO (representative of Vung Tau City) and Hiep Phat A & B Co., Ltd (Representative of Hochiminh City).     

At the seminar, according to report of the Provincial Department of Science & Technology, by inspecting more than 2000 individuals and organizations trading in service coomerce in the province, detecting 25 administrative violation cases, in which original violation 6 cases, brand-name 13 cases, quality 4 cases, stamp 2 cases with penalty 223.1 million dong. Department of Science & Technology performed to check 206 fundamentals trading in and manufacturing electrical, electronic helmet, baby games, packed goods, petrolium etc in the province. Dealed with administrative violation: 4 cases on quality measurement standard; brand-name or unstipulated stamps. 4 letters of intellectual property, brand dispute complaints were solved completely.          

Anti-counterfeit, frog prevention activities is the responsibility of not only competent authorities, business enterprises but also the whole people. First of all, it must comply with regulations of law, strict connection among law enforcement authorities, enhance awareness of business organizations and individuals, responsibility of consumers.
