Training workshop "Survey and evaluate the production technology level of Ba Ria Vung Tau firms"

On April 12, the Training workshop "Survey and evaluate the production technology level of Ba Ria Vung Tau firms" was held at the Conference Center of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province. Participants of the workshop included officers from departments and agencies of the province, officers from People’s Committees of districts and cities and representatives from Ba Ria – Vung Tau firms.

On April 12, the Training workshop "Survey and evaluate the production technology level of Ba Ria Vung Tau firms" was held at the Conference Center of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province. Participants of the workshop included officers from departments and agencies of the province, officers from People’s Committees of districts and cities and representatives from Ba Ria – Vung Tau firms. The workshop saw the presence of Mr. Nguyen Kim Truong - Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology who delivered the beginning speech and Mr. Vu Van Truong - Provincial Bureau of Statistics. PhD. Tran Hau Ngoc - Director of the Vietnam Center for Science and Technology Evaluation and MSc. Pham Hong Quach - Vietnam Center for Science and Technology Evaluation were trainers of the workshop.

Implementation the Circular No. 04/2014/TT-BKHCN dated 08/04/2014 of the Ministry of Science and Technology guiding on the production technology level’s evaluation, the Department of Science and Technology has advised the Provincial People's Committee issued the Plan to evaluate technology level at the decision No. 1626/QD-UBND dated 07/21/2015. The Plan aimed to investigate, survey, analyze and identify the current state of the technology level of the manufacturing sectors in the province to identify strengths and weaknesses of the technology level components. The evaluation results will be used to guide actions and policies to improve technology level and promote innovation at firm, industrial and provincial level. The goal is to promote development of technology in the province to become a driving force of economic growth and competitiveness improvement of the province in the context of the current economic integration.

The workshop saw an active discussion session between participants and workshop trainers about solutions for problems arising during the implementation of technology evaluation.
