On
July 13, the Center for Science and Technology Information and Application
(Department of Science and Technology) in collaboration with iSPACE College organized
a training course on techniques for exploiting security holes and how to
prevent them for network administrators of departments, branches, districts,
towns and cities of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
Attending the opening of the training course were Mr. Tran Duy Tam Thanh - Deputy Director of Department of Science and Technology, Ms. Huynh Thi Thanh Trieu - Deputy Director of Center for Science and Technology Information and Application, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh - Principal of iSPACE College and more than 30 network administrators, departments, agencies, districts, towns and cities in the province.
The training course aims to help trainees be equipped with knowledge about security holes, exploitation techniques and prevention methods at agencies and units; understading the processes and cyber attack techniques of hackers. Then, trainees can give some good advice for the leadership about the solutions of incidents prevention and handling when the network systems are attacked. This will contribute to preventing violations and cyber security incidents, ensuring information safety and security.
The training course will take place in 06 days, from 13/7 to 18/7, with the following main contents: Hacker's attack processes; social media account hacking techniques and prevention solutions; techniques for exploiting security holes in operating systems and prevention solutions; techniques for exploiting security holes in web applications and prevention solutions; techniques for exploiting security holes in wireless networks and prevention solutions. In addition, trainees were also rehearsed to attack and defend at the iSPACE CyberRange as well as were learned the experience of system deployment and network troubleshooting in some units at Ho Chi Minh City.
