This year, the semi-finals attracted the participation of 22 projects, including 15 projects and solutions along with seven ideas from teams, groups and units across the country. Competing projects focus on a number of key areas such as exploitation technology, processing technology, aquaculture, information technology application, digital transformation in production, and solutions to green and sustainable transformation.

Contestants are divided into two groups: project and solution group (15 projects) and idea group (7 ideas). Each project is evaluated based on criteria of innovation, practical applicability, economic and technical efficiency, as well as compatibility with the province's sustainable development orientation.

At the end of the semi-final round, the eight most typical projects are selected, to advance to the final round. The final round is expected to take place at the end of October 2024, where competing teams will continue to present and defend their solutions. This is an important step in realizing ideas, bringing practical values to the development of the fisheries industry in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
