On June 22^nd, 2010, provincial Scientific Council organized to approve the subject “Building engineering and geological database and map editing of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province”, headed by MA Phan Van Tuyen belonging to Southern water resources investigation & planning Union.

To build engineering and geological database and map editing for major economic and coastal areas of BR-VT province;

Researching content of subject is executed as follows: Evaluating current situation and summarizing document sources researched about land resources, setting up land resources construction and use plans in long term, editing different maps to meet economic development purposes of BR-VT province.

Scientific council evaluated that, this subject is very practical and necessary in current condition of BR-VT province. Editing maps will provide vital information for provincial management units, particularly builders, planners and designers in order to improve constructional works in conformity with regional geology. The subject meets the requirement and will be implemented within 18 months.
