Training on sustainable black pepper production

Vietnam Pepper Association recently in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and other specialized agencies have held the training course on programs for Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) on pepper plants in the district Chau Duc of Baria-Vungtau province.

More than 80 pepper-growers and the managers of processing and export of black pepper from provinces of Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau and other of South East region participated in this course.

The contents of training focused on methods of quality system management for producing pepper including the stages: collection, processing and storage after harvest; providing information on quality requirements of importing countries; Guide IPC  GAP and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), ISO 2000 international certification and food safety (HACCP) and solutions to create the added value of pepper from farms to consumption.

This is one of the annual operation of the Vietnam Pepper Association to support  information for pepper-growers and the managers of processing and export of black pepper in country to aim to pepper products to meet the needs of pepper consumption and exporting.
