Since mid-October 2010, a new wave of attacks has emerged seducing users to visit a fake Youtube site.
The virus spreads via popular instant messaging software, namely Yahoo!Messenger, Windows Messenger, etc. Links sent to victims via chat windows are well disguised to fool users and lead them to the fake Youtube website. Without caution, victims will most likely think that the links are from Youtube and get infected. Bkav has detected the virus as W32.Faketube.Worm.
Severity Level: High. Be cautious with virus taking advantage of Youtube
