As reported by the Provincial People"s Committee, in 2011, industrial zones in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province attracted further 14 new investment projects with the total registered capital of USD 708 million. Of which, 8 foreign investment projects with the total registered investment capital of over USD 701 million and 6 domestic investment projects with the total investment capital of nearly USD8 million.

Most new attracted projects are used new high technology, created new products, mainly focused on fields such as manufacturing furniture, float glass by vacuum evaporation process, super-thin glass, shaped aluminum, fiber products, mechanics and thermal processing services ... for foreign investment projects and automobile assembly, building material production from electric arc furnace slag, producing products after steel, square steel embryo, shaped steel, screwed steel with high quality for domestic investment projects.
