2 projects at Toc Tien concentrated waste treatment area proposed to reclaim

The Departments of Natural Resources and Environment, Construction, Industry and Trade, Science and Technology and Tan Thanh District People"s Committee had a written petition to the Department of Planning and Investment on advising the provincial People’s Committee to reclaim the investment policy of 2 projects at Toc Tien concentrated waste treatment area because of slow progress: The steel slag recycling plant project for cement additives and building materials of Viet Ninh Trading and Investment Co., Ltd. and Dai Thanh Steel Slag Recycling Plant of Dai Thanh Industrial Steel Slag Recycling Corporation

The Departments of Natural Resources and Environment, Construction, Industry and Trade, Science and Technology and Tan Thanh District People"s Committee had a written petition to the Department of Planning and Investment on advising the provincial People’s Committee to reclaim the investment policy of 2 projects at Toc Tien concentrated waste treatment area because of slow progress: The steel slag recycling plant project for cement additives and building materials of Viet Ninh Trading and Investment Co., Ltd. and Dai Thanh Steel Slag Recycling Plant of Dai Thanh Industrial Steel Slag Recycling Corporation. Previously, on 17-3-2011, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment also had a written petition to the provincial People’s Committee to recover these two projects in order to transfer to other competent units to continue investing in. The delayed implementation of these two projects caused waste of land, hinder investors who have needs of investment in waste treatment into Toc Tien Concentrated Waste Treatment Area, affected the environmental management in the province in general and Tan Thanh district in particular.

The investment policy of these projects was approved by the provincial People’s Committee in 2009 on an area of ​​about 3.3 ha at the Toc Tien Concentrated Waste Treatment area. However, after nearly three years, these two projects have no any signs of investment.

From 2007 to now, the Toc Tien Concentrated Waste Treatment area has had 12 projects approved by the provincial People’s Committee; of which 7 projects granted investment certificates, but only 4 projects in operation, 1 project was reclaimed the investment policy, 7 projects are performing investment procedures and most delayed in progress.
