Appraising technology of the project: Dai Thanh Factory of recycling industrial slag in Toc Tien - Tan Thanh (04/05/2009)

On the day of April 9th, 2009, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology has organized a Council for appraising technology of the project “Dai Thanh Factory of recycling industrial slag in the area of concentrated waste treatment Toc Tien – Tan Thanh, Baria-Vungtau Province”. Prof. Dr. Bui Song Cau – Polytechnic University of Hochiminh City – is the president of the Council. Dai Thanh Joint Stock Company is the investor of the project.

On the day of April 2nd, 2009, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment co-coordinated with Semla Program Authorities to organize a seminar of the scientific theme “Building up the theme of environmental observation of Baria-Vungtau Province to 2020”. The theme has been carried out by Institute of Environment and Resources, Vietnam National UniversityHochiminh City.

Nuclear power: Seven agencies allowed to offer training (24/04/2009)

According to the scheme to train human resources for the nuclear power sector, seven agencies in Hanoi, HCM City and Lam Dam province are permitted to offer training activities. The total funding for this scheme is around VND2 trillion ($111.1 million).

On the day of March 31st 2009, the Provincial Science Council has organized a conference in order to approve the theme: “Constructing scientific arguments of strong developing investment of transport and communications infrastructure for coastal corridor line Tan Thanh – Baria – Long Son – Vungtau to 2015 and vision up to 2020”. The theme has been presided over by Associated Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thu – Institute of Transport Planning and Management, University of Transport and Communications.

On the day of March 31st 2009, the Provincial Science Council has organized a conference to approve the theme: “The rights and resolutions in order to improve the vocational training capacity in Baria-Vungtau Province”. The theme has been presided over by Dr. Ngan Thuy Collin and BSc Thai Quoc Viet is a co-presider. The Science and Technology Informatics Center is the entity which has presided over the theme.
