Tan Cang- Cai Mep port receives 160 big vessels (26/08/2010)
After one year of operation, Tan Cang - Cai Mep port has received 160 mother vessels of the world"s leading shipping lines and 213 transit vessels; the port receives weekly 3 mother vessels of large shipping lines such as Mitsui OSK Line, NYK, K"line of Japan, Hanjin, Hyundai of Korea, APL-NOL of the U.S, Germany"s Hapag Lloyd, OOCL, Cosfi, Yang Ming of China. Output of goods through the port reached 270,000 TEUs (equivalent to over 2,000,000 tons).
National demographic database to be established (26/08/2010)
A national demographic database will be set up and supervised by the Ministry of Public Security and local public security forces.
Under the newly-approved Decree 90/2010/NĐ-CP, dated on August 18, the establishment of a national population database targets to provide state competent agencies and individuals with accurate and updated demographic information which can serve socio-economic development requirements.

Virginia Tech to build new supercomputer (05/08/2010)

HokieSpeed is being designed at Virginia Tech as a new heterogeneous supercomputing instrument based on a combination of central processing units (CPUs) and GPUs.
