On June 14, 2011, the Provincially Scientific Committee ogarnised a meeting to consider and approve the project: “Applying solar LED-based light system at Tran Hung Dao Park, Vũng Tàu City” by co-authors MSc. Cao Phước Lộc và Eng. Trần Duy Tâm Thanh (Centre for Applying Advanced Science and Technology).

Applying solar LED-based light system for public illumination is a new trend of the present development process. It is not necessary to invest into solar power system of high capacity but ensures requirement for sufficient lighting. At present the costs of the solar LED-based light system can be highly variable and time for returns of investment is quite long. However, when the costs of the system would decrease further, it then is a good solution for performing energy saving and environmental protection.

The Committee concluded that it is a efficient project in terms of social aspects. The implementation of the project will help to establish a lighting model using clean power and saving energy at parks. It is seen that the results of the project implementation are a basis for continuing to scale up such ones in Vung tau city and in other districts of Ba ria – Vung tau province.
