On 27 July 2012, Department of Science & Technology approved the project “research, apply and admin supply chains for seafood enterprises in Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province” under the head of Dr. Do Thanh Phong

In Vietnam, term “Supply chains” is mentioned much in recent time, particularly in retails or supermarket sales. The key of Supply chains is how to bring products from Suppliers to customers favourably with the best expenses. Therefore, common purpose of this subject is to increase input and reduce inventory and operation expenses of each supply chain for seafood enterprises in Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province.
The research result of this subject has direct impacts on seafood enterprises, 6,000 ships and about 10,000 fishermen and aquaculture-households in the Province. This subject will pass administration model of supply chain of one seafood enterprise, then multiply it to other enterprises. It helps fishermen to develop ships and to catch fishes stably and in long term, which contributes to affirm sovereignty of Vietnam in East Sea.
