Conference "Solutions to promote innovation in the fisheries sector of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province (17/12/2022)
The conference is the main
activity within the framework of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau province's Innovation and
Startup Festival in 2022. The conference is an opportunity for experts and
scientists to meet with businesses, cooperatives, startup project owners to
exchange and propose solutions to promote local innovative activities in the
fisheries sector, to contribute to improving the competitiveness and efficiency
of production and business of small and medium-sized enterprises in this
sector.

On the morning of December 8, in Ho Chi Minh City, the
Department of Technology Application and Development - Ministry of Science and
Technology (S&T) coordinated with the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh
City to organize a "Conference on application activities, local technology
transfer by 2022”.
Tech start-up festival launches in Ba Ria - Vung Tau (09/12/2022)
Techfest Ba Ria - Vung Tau 2022 is
held with the aim of raising awareness, promoting the spirit of
entrepreneurship and innovation, contributing to improving the startup culture
in the province, to honor innovative projects, start-ups and organizations and
individuals contributing to the development of the startup ecosystem of Ba Ria
- Vung Tau province. Moreover, this event will attract the attention and
support of society, organizations, and investors inside and outside the
province for startups
On December 2, the Department of
Science and Technology cooperated with the Sub-Institute of Agricultural
Planning and Design to organize a workshop to discuss "Project on
application of advanced science and technology in the period of 2022-2026 in Ba
Ria - Vung Tau province". Attending and chairing the workshop were Mr. Pham Quang Nhat,
Director of Department of Science and Technology, Mr. Nguyen Tan Trung, Deputy
Director of the Agricultural Planning and Design Sub-Institute; with the
participation of leaders of departments, localities, cooperatives, enterprises
and production facilities in the province.
Startup and Innovation Competition in Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province in 2022 (12/10/2022)
The Competition is organized by
the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province to seek and honor
outstanding projects, startup ideas, innovation, and support to develop startups
that have successful innovation.
In order to provide information,
update knowledge to support connecting technological solutions, innovation and
support for agriculture to businesses, cooperatives, and farmer households in
the province as well as promoting innovation and start-up in the agricultural
sector to increase productivity, quality, expand markets, and adding value to
the agricultural industry in the BR-VT province , the Department of Science and
Technology held a conference "Innovation in Agriculture: Connecting
technological solutions and innovation for agriculture in Ba Ria - Vung Tau
province" on September 29, in Chau Duc district,
BR-VT province: Improving the effectiveness of the Science and Technology (S&T) development fund of enterprises (30/09/2022)
On September 23, the Department
of Science and Technology organized a training program "Guide to use the
S&T Development Fund of enterprises and promote the development of S&T
enterprises in the province". Attending the training session were Mr. Tran
Duy Tam Thanh, Deputy Director of Department of Science and Technology; Dr.
Nguyen Ngoc Song, Deputy Director of Academy of Science, Technology and
Innovation; Dr. Ngo Dac Thuan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Technology
consulting and intellectual property ip group company limited, with the
participation of representatives of more than 100 businesses, organizations and
institutions in the province.
Launching the contest "Innovation for fisheries industry in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in 2022" (30/08/2022)
On August 16, the Department of
Science and Technology of BR-VT province held a conference to launch the contest
"Innovation for the fisheries industry in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in
2022". Attending the conference was Mr. Tran Duy Tam Thanh, Deputy
Director of the Department of Science and Technology of BR-VT province, a
standing member of the contest; Mr. Nguyen Huu Thi - Deputy Director of
Fisheries Sub-Department - Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and
representatives of colleges, universities and research institutes nationwide.
On June 29, the Department of Science and
Technology held a Science and Technology Council to accept the subject
"Investigation of the current status of valuable medicinal plants in Ba
Ria - Vung Tau province as a basis for management, use and conservation and
sustainable development”. Dr. Tran Thi Lien is in charge of this subject .
Attending the Council was Mr. Tran Duy Tam Thanh - Deputy Director of Department
of Science and Technology, chairman of the council.
National Quality Award Preliminary Council 2022 (05/08/2022)
On July 28, the Branch for
Standards, Metrology and Quality (Department of Science and Technology of BR-VT
province) held a Preliminary Council for the National Quality Award in 2022 to
review, evaluate and select enterprises of the province participating in the
National Quality Award in 2022. Mr. Tran Duy Tam Thanh - Deputy Director of the
Department of Science and Technology, Chairman of the Approval Council chaired
the meeting.
