Invitation to participate in the Contest "Innovation in the fisheries industry in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in 2024" (25/06/2024)
Following the success of the BR-VT Fisheries Innovation
Contest over 4 years (from 2020 - 2023), the Department of Science and
Technology continues to coordinate with the Directorate of Fisheries and
the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. The province, relevant
units and businesses organize the implementation of "BR-VT Fisheries Innovation Competition 2024".
Many negative impacts on the coastal strip of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province (21/06/2024)
On June 18, the Union of Science
and Technology Associations and the Department of Science and Technology
jointly organized a workshop on the coastal strip of Ba Ria - Vung Tau
province, development potential and risks due to natural and human impacts, research
and solutions.
With the purpose of exchange and
meetings between experts, scientists, managers and science and technology
enterprises, innovative startups, cooperatives, and units with OCOP products...
in order to exchange some solutions to overcome difficulties in science,
technology and innovation activities, the Department of Science and Technology
of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province organizes a scientific conference "Some solutions to overcome difficulties in
Science, Technology and Innovation activities in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province".
On April 22,
2024, the Department of Science and Technology of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province
organized an Advisory Council to evaluate and accept the results of the pilot project
"Building a VietGAP longan
production model in the organic direction in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province".
The topic is chaired by MSc. Chu Trung Kien. The Southern Institute of
Agricultural Science and Technology is the host agency. Attending the Council,
there was Mr. Tran Duy Tam Thanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Science
and Technology who is the Chairman of the Council.
On April 16, 2024, the Center for
Information and Application of Science and Technology - Department of Science
and Technology organized a report on "Intellectual
property, methods of commercializing research results and negotiating
intellectual property transfer contracts”. Attending the report was Mr.
Tran Giang Khue - Head of the Southern Representative Office - Intellectual
Property Office of Vietnam as the main reporter, along with nearly 100
delegates who are leaders, lecturers, and students from Colleges and
Universities; High School teachers; officials and leaders of agencies and
organizations with research and application of science and technology in the
province.
On the morning of April 12, 2024,
the Department of Science and Technology of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province
organized an Advisory Council to evaluate and accept the results of the pilot project
"Building models of conversion - intensive cultivation of some effective
crops in Tan Lam commune, Xuyen Moc district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province".
The topic is chaired by Dr. Mai Van Tri. The Southeast Fruit Research Center is
the host agency. Attending the Council was Mr. Tran Duy Tam Thanh - Deputy
Director of the Department of Science and Technology, Chairman of the Council.
Conference on transferring results of provincial level scientific and technological research (19/03/2024)
On the morning of March 13, the
Department of Science and Technology of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province held the
"Conference on transferring results of provincial level scientific and
technological research ". Attending the conference was Mr. Pham Quang Nhat
- Director of the Department of Science and Technology, along with departments,
branches, agencies, and presiding agencies and project managers; localities,
organizations, and units receiving research results.
On the morning of March 1, 2024,
the Department of Science and Technology of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province held a
meeting of the Advisory Council to evaluate and accept the results of
implementing the project "Assessing the current status of the Dugong
population and seagrass in Con Dao, proposing solutions for management and
conservation”. The project is chaired by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van
Quan. The Institute of Marine Resources and Environment (Vietnam Academy of
Science and Technology) is the host agency. Attending the Council was Mr. Pham
Quang Nhat - Director of the Department of Science and Technology, chairman of
the council.
On September 22, 2023, the
Department of Science and Technology held the Advisory Council to select
organizations and individuals to implement the project "Application of
remote sensing technology to monitor ocean waste and build an offshore
collection system for the sea area of Con Dao district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau
province". Mr. Pham Quang Nhat - Director of the Department of Science and
Technology - Chairman of the Council chaired the meeting.
Supportting businesses to improve productivity and product quality and to develop intellectual property (05/09/2023)
On August 30, 2023, the
Department of Science and Technology of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province organized an
online conference "Implementing the Program to support businesses to
improve productivity and quality of products and goods and the Intellectual
Property Development Program until 2030”.
