US Gov’t Hired Scientists to Hack Tor Users (25/02/2016)
An American judge has confirmed that US authorities hired computer researchers from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) to hack Tor, a software that allows its users to anonymously browse the Internet.

On December 1st, the Department of Science
and Technology held a meeting to review the province level research "The
situation and solutions to improve the efficiency of applications of province

the period of 2001-2012", lead by Dr. Pham Ngoc Vu (Department of Science
and Technology) and Dr. Tran Tinh Huy.

On November 27th, the
Department of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the technology
group T - TECH Vietnam Corporation held the workshop "CNC natural gas incinerator
Solution" Attending the meeting were Mr. Mai Thanh Quang - Director of
Department of Science and Technology, Mr. Nguyen Van Hong – Director of T -
TECH Vietnam HCMC Branch, representatives from relevant departments, leaders of
the districts and cities of the province, representatives of Economic,
Economic&Infrastructure Divisions and Environment and Natural Resource
Divisions of districts and cities and representatives from environmental firms
in the province.
On Nov 27th, the
Department of Science and Technology held a meeting to review the research
project "The social and cultural change in BR-VT during
Industrialization-Modernization". The research was carried by the Vietnam Institute
of Culture and Art in Ho Chi Minh City and chaired by Dr. Dinh Van Hanh.
Review projects applying for the provincal business supportting Program (30/11/2015)
On Nov 23th, the
Department of Science and Technology organized a meeting to review 18 projects
applied for the program “Science and Technology Program to support Ba Ria –
Vung Tau companies to improve productivity and product quality”. Mr. Vuong
Quang Can - Deputy Director of the Department chaired the review committee.
The seminar “Promoting technology
applications to enhance agricultural value chains in Southern Vietnam” was
succefully organized by the State Agency for Technology Innovation in the
series of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Techdemo 2015 events on November 5th
