Committee (BR-VT) held a "Seminar on improving competitiveness index at
provincial grade (PCI)" at Provincial Convention Center. Attending the
seminar were Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Le - Director of BR-VT Department for Planning
and Investment BR-VT; Mr. Dau Anh Tuan - Head of Legal Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) - member of PCI index
research team; Pham Chi Lan - Senior Economic Specialist - member of PCI index
research team; and delegates are leaders of Bureau Party Committee, People's
Commitee.

On 24 September, 2014 Department of Science & Technology BR-BT organized to select a subject on “researching and preserving gene source of custard-apple in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province”. There are 3 units participating including Eastern South Fruit Research Center (Ba Ria-Vung Tau), Head of subject is MA. Do Van Quy; The Institute of Agricultural Science for Southern Vietnam – IAS, head of subject is MA. Truong Quoc Anh; Nong Lam University HCM, head of subject is Dr.Pham Duc Toan.
Training class “Ways to recognize attack origin of criminals on network system” (22/09/2014)

3 days (10 September to 12 September, 2014), Center for Application of Science
and Technology Progress under Department of Science & Technology Ba
Ria-Vung Tau organized a training class “Ways to recognize attack origin of
criminals on network system”. There are about 30 learners who are network
administrators of departments, authorities of districts, cities. Report is

Technical training on treatment solutions of livestock and poultry waste (22/09/2014)
In two days (18 September and 19 September, 2014), Center for Application of Science & Technology Progress (under Department of Science & Technology BR-VT) in collaboration with Center for Research and Science and Technology Transfer (Nong Lam University - HCMC) organized training class “Treatment solutions of livestock and poultry waste in cooperatives and farms”. Mr. Vuong Quang Can – Deputy Director of Department of Science & Technology spoke opening of training class. Reporter is Mr. Duong Nguyen Khang – Ass.Professor - Dr. Director of Center for Research and Science Technology Transfer. Objectives of training class are specialists of Economy and Infrastructure Department of districts and cities in BR-VT, head of farms, cooperatives and breeding households.
Training on investigation of Science and Technology resources & research & development (22/09/2014)
On 16 September and 17 September, 2014 Center for
Informatics and Science & Technology (under Department of Science &
Technology) organized 2 training classes “Investigate Science and Technology sources”
and “Investigate research and development”. There are about 20 learners who are
representatives of authorities such as Petro University, Ba Ria-Vung Tau
University, and Center for Application of Science and Technology Progress,
provincial Farmers Association etc. Mr. Vuong Quang Can – Deputy Director of
Department of Science & Technology spoke to open training class.
Damaged cable slows internet (17/09/2014)
Vietnam has lost about 40 percent of its internet connectivity since a submarine cable between Vietnam and the United States was sliced open on September 15.
Training using exploitation and application of remote sensing data (09/09/2014)
In two days (4th and 5th September, 2014), BR-VT Department of Science and Technology in collaboration with Center for Control and Exploitation of Small Satellites, Space Technology Institute and Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology organized a training course on use and application of remote sensing data to serve socio-economic development of the local officials and officials of departments, sectors, people's committees of districts, cities, universities and enterprises in the province . Mr.Mai Thanh Quang –Director of Department of Science and Technology BR-VT made opening speech of training course. Report on cultivation techniques, sustainable tangerines care (09/09/2014)
On 4th September, 2014 Centre of Informatics, Science and Technology information under Ba Ria - Vung Tau Department of Science and Technology held a thematic report on " cultivation techniques, sustainable tangerines care" presented by Dr.Nguyen Dang Nghia, Director of Research Center for Southern Soils, Fertilizers & Environment. The thematic reports attracted more than 150 participants who are farmers from Xuyen Moc district.
Seminar on new Technology in pepper farming (09/09/2014)
On 5/9, 2014 Centre for Informatics, Science and Technology Information of Ba Ria - Vung Tau (under Department of Science and Technology) held a thematic report on "new technologies in pepper farming " by Dr.Nguyen Dang Nghia, Research Center for Southern Soils, Fertilizers & Environment. The thematic report attracted more than 150 participants who are farmers in communes of Chau Duc district.

On 26/8, 2014 BR -VT Department of Science and Technology organized subject acceptance on "Research, design, fabrication and test of stable system of yaw by steering wheel for passenger ships, applied for Con Dao passenger ships" headed by MA.Tran Manh Tuan. The lead agency is Ltd Company One member of Consultancy - Design - Shipbuilding Technology & Marine Services.
